Horseback Riding |
Horseback riding, for horse owners, in the area adjacent to Black Bear Cove, has
taken on a new dimension with the new equestrian trails in the beautiful, scenic
Gee Creek Wilderness Area. The State
of
Tennessee
has committed $2.5 million dollars to the development of horse trails and facilities
at Gee Creek, located just across the
Hiwassee River
from Black Bear Cove. Private stables
are available in the area to board your horse; be sure to make arrangements well
in advance for this service. Call our

Coming in 2007 Black Bear Cove will be offering limited stable facilities for rent
for those individuals who want to keep their horses close to their campsite, however,
horses are allowed in Black Bear Cove only in the designated stall and corral area,
and no riding of livestock is allowed on the premises.

From time-to-time, stables in the area offer trail rides for those individuals who
