Phase II, Black Bear Cove Lodge, is located on the southwest part of the Black Bear
Cove property on a hill overlooking the valley with breath taking views of the Cherokee
National Forest and Gee Creek Wilderness Area. Large spreading oaks trees adjacent
to and just below the building site provide shade and add to the beauty of the pastoral
setting. |
The Lodge consists of two buildings, the Commons building which contains the multi-use
areas; and the Lodge which houses 10 suites. Long-range plans call for an additional
expansion of 10 suites housed in a third building. |
Black Bear Cove Lodge Commons building is approximately 5,000 square feet. Constructed of logs and
timbers, it provides a breathtaking great room as well as 180-degree views of the
mountain scenery. The Lodge
houses registration, great room, library, recreation/game
room, kitchen and dining facilities.
Hard wood, tile and slate floors provide elegance to the relaxed comfortable interior
of the Lodge. A Large see through fireplace located between the dining room and
great room invites guests to relax and lends a romantic atmosphere to the dining
area.
Our library provides a comfortable, quite room to relax and read a book or take
a cat nap in front of the fireplace; while the game room provides an opportunity
for guests to unwind with a game of pool, checkers, chess, or cards while enjoying
the beautiful view.
Large covered porches and decks invite guests outdoors on good weather days to enjoy
the fresh mountain air and sunshine. All areas are finely finished and exquisitely
furnished with beautifully finished wood, and oriental rugs. Leather and finely
upholstered furniture provide a comfortable invitation for guests to sit and relax
while enjoying the beauty inside and out. |
Black Bear Cove Lodge, approximately 5000 square feet, houses 10 suites with several different
room arrangements. Guests have an option of rooms with king beds or 2 queen beds
or our luxurious honeymoon suite.
All rooms on the mountainside of the Annex have their own private decks for guest
to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery in privacy. The Lodge is constructed
with logs and timbers from the region giving each suite impressive cathedral ceilings
beautifully finished natural wood.
A comfortable sitting area is available for guests to relax away from the Commons
building. Furnished with comfortable couches and chairs, a fireplace makes this
areaa cozy place to curl up with a book or visit with a friend.
All suites are exquisitely decorated and finely furnished. Hardwood, ceramic tile
and granite tile may be found on floors with oriental rugs and fine furniture. Each
suite has a fireplace, private bath, Jacuzzi tub and shower. Each room has its own
complementary snack bar and refrigerator for guest convenience.

The Lodge may be entered from the outside or from the Commons via the deck area
or the Veranda dining area. Easy parking
is conveniently located around the Lodge.
